We have been married for three years and live in New Orleans, LA--the greatest city in the world. Actually we just moved to Metairie, but still think NO is the greatest city in the world. Mostly, this blog is about our new daughter, Lillian Grace Godbold or as we call her, Lily. She is our angel.

Good luck everyone down here!

Lily watching the Saints game with aunt Stef and mom.

She can sit up in her bumpo seat! Thanks Valerie! We have a lot of fun watching her sit up in this. She cracks us up with her expressions.

We found two more pacifiers that she will take. This "Mute button" one is perfect because it does just that. She also has one that says "Daddy's Girl". We needed a break from the LSU paci.

Good luck to everyone with Gustov coming through. We are uncertian of our plans right now but please keep us in your prayers as it is not going to be fun evacuating with a 7-week-old. She does not do well in stationary traffic. God bless and our prayers are with everyone on this.

Lily is waving 'hi"..or something like that and a cute hat purchase

Lily loves her swing

I had to make this purchase. Is this not the cutest hat you have ever seen?...and on the cutest baby (in my opinion) :)

today we went for a walk at Audubon Park...our first. Mommy had to make a stop at Giggleberries on Magazine street first and I could not resist this hat. I had to take pics as soon as we got home.

Fun in Biloxi

Wendy and I with the babies.

Dylan's first time at the beach. He loved it after getting used to the sand. Isn't he cute?

A shot of all of us together. Hoo-rah, Dave. We will see you soon. We are so proud of you.

The first family shot of the three of us. Thanks Wendy. It only took us six weeks to get one.

We went to Biloxi on Tuesday to see our friends Wendy, Dave, and their son Dylan who just turned one. Lunch at the Hard Rock Casino went very well considering we had a one year old and a six week old. Good job kids! Dave will be going to Iraq with his fellow Marines in about a month. It was so fun hanging out with you guys. Dave, you and your family will be in our prayers every night.

Lily is smiling!

Lily has been smiling for about a week now. It is so fun. I try and capture them on camera but it is really hard. Here are a few attempts. She is really enjoying this play mat. I think she is very photogenic.

Cute little Sarah!

Lily hanging with me in the shade. Sorry Grandpa, but Lily is addicted to this pacifier. We never leave home without it.

Uncle Dominic and little Sarah
Uncle Phillip and cousin Reno (his son)

kerry and his neice Sarah.

On Sunday we went to visit with uncle Dominic and the apartment they are living in while Dominic finishes the house he is building. We hung out at the pool. I can't wait untill Lily gets a little bigger and we can take her swimming. Aren't my neice and nephew adoreable?

GG feeding Lily. She looks like she is enjoying the bottle but really, it is a struggle to get her to take one. Kerry is going to have his hands full when I go back to work.

LIly's first real photo shoot..see Tiffany's blogspot

Hello all, greetings from the Godbold house.

Here are a couple of photos I took this week. The first was at home before Lily's first city outing to White Linen night. She really loved the baby bjorn carrier that Wendy is lending us. Thanks Wendy! It was too hot to stay long though. Also, we did not get to view much art as it was so crowded and we were worried about her getting hot in the carrier. It is funny how your priorities all change after having a baby. I couldn't even take pics of her out there as I was so concerned about her overheating. She was fine though and slept in the carrier most of the night. The second pic is of Lily napping with daddy. She is co comfy!

Lily had her first professional photo shoot on Wed. with aunt Tiffany. She owns Blink photography (http://www.blinknola.com/) and did such a great job. I don't know which shots I will choose for the birth announcements as they were all so great. Lily and Kerry were so cute together even though she peed all over him (gotta love those naked baby shots). Check out a sample of Lily's photos on her blogspot (http://www.blinknola.blogspot.com/). They will be under the most recent (yesterday or today's ) posting. These are much better than any I could place on this blogspot. I will post more after this weekend as I hope to have some good pics. We have a busy weekend coming up. GG and Grandpa are coming up from Mississippi.

On another note, Kerry and I had out first outing together without Lily. We went to Copeland's Fire and Ice bar for a pre-season kickoff party with his work. It was so nice to get out for a couple of hours. aunt Stefani babysat and they did great together.

Some recent pics of Lily

Hello all... Lily is doing well. We are having a good morning. Here are a dew shots over the past couple of days. The first is one with one of her goofy faces. She really makes me laugh with her expressions. The second is one with her godmother, Emily. We are blessed to have such an amazing person (and doctor) in our lives. She brought us a wonderful dinner the other night. Thank you so much Emily. The last is one with a shirt that is so fitting. She truly is daddy's angel.
