About Us

Metairie, LA, United States
Kerry is a network administrator, new dad, and creator of the blog. I (Kelly) am a pediatric nurse and new mom. We have been married for three years and live in New Orleans, LA--the greatest city in the world. Actually we just moved to Metairie, but still think NO is the greatest city in the world. Mostly, this blog is about our new daughter, Lillian Grace Godbold or as we call her, Lily. She is our angel.

Her first swim and first outdoor concert

We took her swimming for the first time at Elmwood. She did pretty good after she adjusted to the water tempature. It was chilly...not like her bath. She now has her first gym membership card. How cute!

Sitting up in her bumpo at home.

Her first outdoor concert at Layfette Square in the CBD. They have these free concerts Thursday nights downtown and we say Edwin McCain. The weather was so nice and we even ran into old friends.

Chillin' with Daddy at the Square

She was getting a little fussy towards the end of the evening. Poor Stefani seems to catch her in her worst moods. We will definatly try and make more of these concerst with her. We are slowly preparing her for her first Jazzfest (which will depend on the heat next year). Wonder if she will be old enough to try a Mango Freeze :)

Baptism brunch pics and an LSU cutie

This is an earlier pic of Lily watching the LSU game with daddy. Geaux Tigers!

Lily with her godmother, Emily. Congrats Emily on the engagement! We can't wait to see the ring (It is being sized). We are so happy for you and Tim.

Lily with her grandpa.

One of the beautiful pictures we got from Aunt Tiffany as a baptism gift. We are so lucky to have such talent in the family. Our prayers are with you, Tiff as Bradley approaches. We can't wait to meet him. Thank you so much for such a special gift.

Lily's baptism

Baptism by immersion at St. Clement of Rome church. Lily was very good considering she had to get dunked.

Us with Lily's godparents: Rodney Este, and Dr. Emily Vigour

Lily's godfather, Rodney. She was so good sitting on his lap during the later part of mass.

The beautiful cake Lily's cousin Lauren brought to the brunch.

Hello, everyone! Sorry we have been out of touch.

I finally got her bedding in. She is lying in her "big girl" crib enjoying the fish mobile. I am nervous about putting her in her in it for the night. It is so nice having her beside me in the bassinet in our room, but I have to let go sometime. I wll probably try in a couple of weeks. At least she has this pretty "beach cottage" bedding to wake up to. It is peaceful and cheery at the same time.

Lily and Daddy after going to the Brother Martin football game. How cute they are!

Lily and Buck seem to be on the same sleep schedule

We were so lucky with the hurricaine. We only lost part of our fence. So many others had it so bad. Our prayers continue to be with you all.

Sorry we have been out of touch for so long. I started back to work last week and have been so busy. Lily and Daddy have had great bonding time, though. The toughest part is getting her to take that first bottle. She usually cries to sleep and wakes up hungry enough to take one. Daddy has so much patience with her. I am glad that they have this time together.

Welcome home everyone!

Cousin Maddie helping Lily out in Raymond, MS.

Is that Daddy's hairline? We were able to put some barrets in her hair. Now she looks more like a girl.

Hanging out at Aunt Janet and Uncle Kenny's house in Raymond. We did well for the storm thanks to them!

Good luck everyone down here!

Lily watching the Saints game with aunt Stef and mom.

She can sit up in her bumpo seat! Thanks Valerie! We have a lot of fun watching her sit up in this. She cracks us up with her expressions.

We found two more pacifiers that she will take. This "Mute button" one is perfect because it does just that. She also has one that says "Daddy's Girl". We needed a break from the LSU paci.

Good luck to everyone with Gustov coming through. We are uncertian of our plans right now but please keep us in your prayers as it is not going to be fun evacuating with a 7-week-old. She does not do well in stationary traffic. God bless and our prayers are with everyone on this.

Lily is waving 'hi"..or something like that and a cute hat purchase

Lily loves her swing

I had to make this purchase. Is this not the cutest hat you have ever seen?...and on the cutest baby (in my opinion) :)

today we went for a walk at Audubon Park...our first. Mommy had to make a stop at Giggleberries on Magazine street first and I could not resist this hat. I had to take pics as soon as we got home.
